The Forum of Private Business (FPB) is a business support organisation, which:
was founded in 1977
is a company limited by guarantee
represents 25,000 employers in the UK
has a track record of success in influencing the laws and policies that affect small and medium-sized businesses
saves its members thousands of pounds every year with its money-saving offers.

1. Peace of mind
Membership includes comprehensive legal expenses insurance worth up to £75,000 per head of cover (up to £825,000 in a single year).

2. Phone a friend
Call the FPB for help with any business matter, from cash flow to food regulations to tax. If the FPB’s friendly team cannot answer the question immediately, they can call on the expertise of a network of specialist advisers.

3. Stay up to date
The FPB produces a range of practical business guides to employment law, health and safety, credit control and growing your business, to help you comply with the law, as it applies to your business. The first two are updated every year and come with a CD-Rom of templates and other documents for you to personalise and use in your own business.

4. Improve your bottom line
The FPB has used the weight of its membership to negotiate some great deals that could save your business money. Many members save the equivalent of their membership subscriptions several times over every year, just by taking advantage of one or two of the deals.

5. Join the campaign
The FPB fights for fair treatment of its members by decision-makers. It also has panels of members on a range of issues, so you can make your views heard.
“The FPB will pull out all the stops to take your business forward. Join today – believe me, it’s worth it.”
Richard Heath, A Taste of its Own
“There is no reason why every small and medium-sized business should not be using the FPB’s services. They are reasonably priced and great value for money. As an employer, it’s everything you would expect from a business organisation and more.”
Mark Ashton, Ashton Marketing Services
“I am the owner of a small business now, so I need a voice, and the FPB is far more effective in its campaigning than rival organisations.”
Vanessa Hyde, Hyde Accounting Services Ltd
“We know we can always turn to the FPB for help and the guides remain invaluable.”
